Römischer Goldring mit Jaspisgemme graviert mit dem Bild eines Löwen. Der antike Ring aus dem 3. Jahrhundert wurde aus hochkarätigem Gold gefertigt und zeigt altersbedingt typische Spuren antiken Gebrauchs. Das achteckige, dunkelrote Jaspisintaglio ist komplett intakt bis auf winzige Absplitterungen. Im Vergleich zur Mehrzahl überlieferter römischer Ringe hat dieses Exemplar eine relativ große Weite, was einen Mann als ursprünglichen Träger vermuten lässt. Der Ring ist daher auch heute noch perfekt tragbar.

Ancient Roman gold ring with its original jasper ringstone depicting a lion. The ring from the 3rd century A.D. was made from high karat gold and shows typical marks of ancient wear. The octagonal red jasper intaglio is intact apart from very tiny chips. Compared to most ancient Roman rings this example has a quite large ring size which suggests a man as its original wearer. The ring is perfectly wearable on a mens hand.
